Auto Schedule Booster Appointment & Observation Period

This page allows the provider to monitor an individual who has recieved the vaccine and record any adverse effects.

Once the initial vaccine is administered the system will automatically schedule the booster at the same location based on the availability setup in the location details. This is why it is important that provider schedules have availability at 45 days out.

The booster appointment will be scheduled within the date range dictated by the vaccine manufacturer. If a time slot can not be found within the date range it will look for the next available slot after the minimum value.

At this point the individual is placed into an observation period. The length of the observation period is dependent on the medical screening response.

If there are any adverse effects the vaccinator can document them here.

If no action is taken on the observation period screen, the system will assume there are no adverse side effects and after 60 minutes archive the individual in the All Appointments tab.
